About Us

Horsewatch Scotland is the eyes and ears of the Equestrian Community, working together with all Scotland's Police Forces, gathering and sharing information to protect our horses and our equipment.

Up until now, Scotland hasn't suffered the same level of equine related crime as England and we have become complacent.  But now serious and organised crime groups are operating everywhere, including Scotland.  That's where Horsewatch Scotland come in, offering advice and recommendations on keeping your horse and equipment safe and secure.

When you join Horsewatch Scotland, you will start receiving email alerts from us (which we receive directly from the Police) so that you can be aware of what is happening in your area.  You will also receive one of our fantastic membership packs which were designed in conjunction with the British Horse Society Scotland and is packed with safety and security advise.

Membership to Horsewatch Scotland is FREE

Horsewatch Scotland was officially launched on the 1st October 2010 with a safety and security event held at Gleneagles Equestrian Centre.  The event was open to all members of the public  who could come along and talk to experts on various aspects of safety and sacurity and purchase  products.  Live demonstrations were held by Farmkey and 'Large Animal Rescue' which were of great interest to everyone attending.

There was a short introduction by Horsewatch Scotland and  various members of Scotland's Police Forces and then we were officially launched by Ian Stark.
